Distilled in Spring 2013 and released in Fall 2019, this superb rye is finished to 125.7 proof and aged for 6 years and 2 months in new white oak #4 char barrels. Double distilled in BTD beer stills, 2019 Thomas H. Handy Sazerac whiskey is composed of Minnesota rye, distiller grade #1/#2 Kentucky corn, and N. Dakota malted barley and offers a nose of rich malt, leather, and aged paper smoked with tobacco and vanilla. The mouth is smitten by bold clove, lemon rind, and wintergreen mint splashed with black tea.
