Chicken Cock 20 Year Old Cotton Club Rye Canadian Whiskey
$180.99
Chicken Cock bourbon has over 150 years of history in Kentucky, with the ‘old famous brand’ now experiencing a renaissance having once been in vogue as early as the 19th century. A throwback to the prohibition era and defined by a classic, traditional nostalgia for old-school whiskey-making, Chicken Cock bourbon is deserving of its comeback fairytale, with the original distillery burnt down in the 1950s after it was filling 9,000 barrels of Chicken Cock Whiskey a year. Today, Chicken Cock produces a range of classic, no-nonsense Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskeys, as well as pushing the envelope with a selection of innovative cask finished rye and bourbons.

Description
As one of the most notable offerings from the historically rich Chicken Cock brand of whiskey, Chicken Cock 20 year old Cotton Club Rye is authentic Canadian whiskey produced in Canada and originally smuggled back into the US in tin cans during Prohibition – thus earning Chicken Cock the nickname ‘whiskey in a tin can’. With a mash bill of 90% rye and 10% malted barley; Cotton Club Canadian Rye is a 100-proof cask strength limited-edition release (just 1,595 6 pack cases) and is aged for 20 years in used bourbon barrels. The aroma is rife with sweet fair candy, grassland, and wet earth over citrus. The flavor combines vanilla, spice, and molasses with layers of white pepper and citrusy oak.
