The Teeling Whiskey Co. has a family history of whiskey-making going back to 1782 with Walter Teeling, the man responsible for establishing a small craft distillery on Marrowbone Lane in the central part of Dublin City’s burgeoning industrial sector. Leap forward to 2012 to the latest generation of Teelings now carrying on the legacy of their fore-farther, Jack and Stephen Teeling, who have put their mark on Irish whiskey and relived the beginnings of Walter’s dream by founding the new Teeling Whiskey Distillery in 2015. This relatively young facility is cited as the first new distillery established in Dublin in over 125 years and has become an icon in the world of traditional Irish whiskey – just as in the olden days. Using traditional and innovative processing, maturation, and distilling, the Teeling brand has expanded to offer complex and distinct iterations of highly-prized whiskey including their small batch and pot still recipes, a line-up entitled The Unconventional Collection, and a series of prized, hand-selected cask releases called The Vintage Reserve Collection – rare Irish single malt whiskey specifically chosen by the Teeling family and expertly crafted for the enjoyment of enthusiasts and collectors everywhere.
