Maestro Dobel Reposado Tequila

Maestro Dobel was founded in 2008 by Juan Domingo Beckmann Legorreta, along with master distillers Marco Anguiano and Luis Yerenas. Legorreta is an 11the generation tequila master and the CEO of another highly-acclaimed tequila brand, Jose Cuervo. Family-owned by the Legorretas and distributed by Proximo Spirits, Dobel is masterfully-crafted tequila made from 100% blue agave found on a single estate in Jalisco Mexico. The agave plants are grown in volcanic lowlands and matured for 8 – 10 years. The pina (heart) is then harvested and cooked in specialized ovens without steam for 12 hours before being air-dried. Maestro Dobel is a marriage of reposado, anejo, and extra-aged tequilas ranging in maturity from 1 to 3 years with each blend finished in European white oak barrels. This highly-prized brand is considered to be the first-ever multi-aged diamonte (clear) tequila and won gold at the 2011 and 2013 San Francisco World Spirits awards.

Nose: Aroma holds subtle, baked agave with the slightest sweetness mixed with earthy aspects.

Palate: The palate is full bodied and super smooth with complex and bold oak, vanilla, and butterscotch notes with a little herbal spice balanced by agave sweetness.

Finish: The finish is quickly with sweet honey and a little more of a spicy snap.
